PAT Testing
What is PAT Testing? Portable Appliance Testing (which is basically anything with a plug).
Our prices for PATs are inclusive. This means that there are no hided costs, all fuses and plugs that need replacing will be done free of charge and testing can be completed at your convenience.
We use the latest Seaward Europa Equipment and Software. We can provide a full report on CD and a hard copy. On completion of the testing you will be issued with a safety certificate and a detailed report that provides information on each individual item. All items that pass the inspection and testing will be labeled with a safety sticker and a unique barcode number that helps us keep track of all Portable Appliances in your company.
How do we do Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing)?
- Portable equipment is switched off and disconnected from the power supply.
- A visual inspection is carried out.
- If the equipment passes the visual inspection it will be plugged into the portable appliance test equipment and a series of different electrical tests will be carried out.
- The results of testing will be stored in the test equipment against a unique asset number.
- Tests are downloaded from the test instrument to a computer that will act as a database.
- Results are collated and the printed reports are produced.
- Printed results are to be retained at each location and made available for inspection on demand.
