Electrical Engineer

ELECTRICIAN / ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (45k – £60k Depending on Experience)

 

Job requirements:
• Diagnose and rectify faults, upgrades, finals, and any maintenance duties in accordance with contract specification, technical drawings and 18th Edition requirements
• Perform full test and Inspection on all works and the correct completion of NICEIC certification in preparation for Supervisor authorisation
• Operate within the appropriate Health & Safety regulations ensuring the working environment, property and occupants are safe and secure at all times
• Take responsibility for the training, progression and management of an accompanying Apprentice, ensuring that they follow all required standards, company expectations and that their development is reported for appraisal purposes

 

Qualifications Required:
• City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 or equivalent NVQ Level 3,
• City & Guilds 2382 18th edition
• City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 Test and Inspection Qualification
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Electrical installation condition reports

 

Experience:
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a fully qualified Electrician
• Experience of Testing and Inspection, reading and interpreting specifications and drawings
• Familiar with NICEIC requirements
• Successful Apprentice Training (with evidence), and the ability to coach and advise
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills, and able to work in a methodical and calm manner
• Excellent attention3 to details, ensuring accuracy, and able to work under pressure to achieve required Client Service Level’s and KPIs
• Calm under pressure and able to work on specified time bound tasks
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously, or with an apprentice when required
• The ability to use own initiative, but also know when matters need to be referred to Senior Management Team
• Presentable and able to undertake duties in line with Managements’ recommendations and instructions
• Adhere to company policy, and in accordance with client requirements

Portable Appliance Tester

PORTABLE APPLIANCE TESTER (22k – £35k Depending on Experience)

 

Job Requirements:
• Carry out visual inspections of appliances.
• Carry out electrical testing to ensure that each item is safe to use.
• Carry out fuse changes, plug replacements and re-terminations where necessary
• Microwave Emission Testing
• Complete and submit paperwork as agreed
• Manage Appliance Testing in accordance with health and safety requirements
• You will be paid at a test rate per appliance
• Working away is required as well as some out of hours and weekend works

 

Requirements:
• Preferably City & Guilds 2377 but not essential as in house training is provided
• Basic electrical knowledge an advantage
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Current Driving Licence and own transport,
• A professional approach
• An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
