Project Solver are proud to be official OLEV approved installers (Office for Low Emission Vehicles) this enables our business to install EV (Electric Vehicle) charging equipment, and we have already successfully carried out EV pilot schemes for clients. The British Government has set ambitions to ensure that almost every car and van in the UK is a zero-emission vehicle by 2040, and hopefully to also make the UK a world leader in the latest Electrical Vehicle and battery technologies. By the year 2032 the government is also under pressure to ban all sales of diesel and petrol cars. To encourage and incentivise businesses and private householders the government has introduced two grants. Both of these grants are provided by OLEV. The Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme grant (EVHS), provides £500 towards the cost of each charging point and is specifically for people who have purchased an electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle from 1st October 2016 onwards and you must have off street parking. In addition to this, there is also the Workplace Charging Scheme grant (WCS). This grant is provided to businesses and provides eligible applicants with support towards the upfront costs of the purchase and installation of EV charge equipment. The contribution is limited to the 75% of the purchase and installation costs, up to a maximum of £500 for each socket and up to a maximum of 20 across all sites for each applicant.
We have partnered with ROLEC who have Europe’s largest range of the very latest electric vehicle charging stations and equipment. At Project Solver our dedicated EV staff will facilitate all aspects of the process from your initial enquiry, funding eligibility, through to charging point installation. We have an EV charging point to suit every budget and requirement and can also provide expert advice on the right charging point for your business or home. We can install a full range of Rolec EV charging points which have been specially designed for a wide range of locations both in the public and private sectors, including offices, restaurants, factories, warehouses, leisure, retail, NHS, education, car parks, etc. To apply for an OLEV grant you must use an OLEV approved installer and your vehicle must be eligible under the scheme.
